Water Filter Installation, Done Properly

Bought a system already, or want the whole job in one visit? Either way the fit-out is the same standard.

What a standard install includes

  • Isolating the supply and checking the existing plumbing before anything is cut.
  • Mounting the housing where it stays reachable for cartridge changes.
  • Running the feed line and fitting a dedicated filtered-water tap where one is specified.
  • Flushing the cartridges to manufacturer instructions and pressure-checking every joint.
  • Clearing the workspace and handing over the cartridge model, fit date and change interval.

One visit for most under-sink jobs

Under-bench systems are usually finished in a single appointment. Whole-house and commercial units take longer because the mains connection and mounting point have to be set up first — we confirm the timing when we quote, not on the day.

If the cupboard is tight or the mains run is awkward, we say so before you commit.

Installation questions we get asked

Can you install a filter I bought elsewhere?

Usually yes. Send the model number with your enquiry so we can check the fittings and cartridge availability before booking.

Do I need a separate tap?

Under-sink and reverse osmosis systems normally run to their own small tap. Whole-house systems do not — every existing outlet is already fed through the filter.

How often do cartridges change?

It depends on the cartridge and how much water the property uses. We give you the manufacturer interval at handover and send a reminder before it is due.
